Roger Adrià moves to the WorldTour with BORA - hansgrohe

Roger Adrià is moving up to the WorldTour. From January 1, the explosive climber will be riding for BORA - hansgrohe and thus for the first time in his career for an international team. Most recently, Adrià finished the Arctic Race of Norway in 8th place overall.

On Saturday, the Vuelta a España starts in Barcelona - the birthplace of Roger Adrià. The mountainous terrain of La Vuelta would suit the 25-year-old. In difficult one-day races and stages that are highly profiled, Adrià plays to his climbing strengths and explosiveness.

Rolf Aldag, Head of Sports at BORA - hansgrohe, says: "Roger is a diamond in the rough. He has already proven his talent with great results, but we think there is still a lot of potential in him. We can help with that with our structure and tools, from training management to nutrition and equipment. We see him as a punchy climber. We'll find out together in the coming months about his climbing strengths in the high mountains."

Roger Adrià says: “Stepping into the WorldTour with BORA - hansgrohe is a dream come true. It’s a great team and the perfect one for me so I can keep taking steps forward. I’m really happy to be part of it.
