BORA - hansgrohe concludes Paris-Nice with mixed feelings

Paris-Nice ended with a demanding, 118.4km circuit around the hills of Nice. Nils Politt was part of an early breakaway that went up the road on the first of five categorised climbs and ultimately was brought back with 60km to go. In the decisive phase of the race, no BORA - hansgrohe rider was part of the first group. With a solo attack, T. Pogačar sealed the stage and overall race win. Nils Politt finished the stage in 32nd, while Bob Jungels was BORA - hansgrohe’s best placed rider in the GC in 18th.

From the Finish Line

“With the exception of Sam Bennett's podium and a solid team time trial, we fell short of our expectations at Paris-Nice and can certainly not be satisfied. Looking at the result list, we were definitely not where we hoped to be. We saw positive developments in Nils Politt and Marco Haller, both presented themselves in strong condition and were able to work on their form leading up to the classics season.” Rolf Aldag, Sports Director
