After completing his career as a professional rider, the 39-year-old Haussler will now contribute his experience to the sports management at BORA - hansgrohe.&nbsp;&nbsp;"I am really looking forward to this new challenge. I talked with Rolf Aldag last year, albeit somewhat in jest, about a career as Sports Director. Over the last few weeks, it became more concrete. I have always had a very good relationship with Rolf and great respect for his competence. So it was clear to me that if I could, I would take the chance to work with him. The talks with Ralph Denk also gave me confidence that BORA - hansgrohe is the right team for me, for this new chapter. I want to help the guys avoid mistakes that I made. I’ve been able to gain a lot of experience, particularly in the classics, and I’d like to pass that on to the riders. Nach seinem Karriereende als Radprofi bringt der 39-jährige Haussler seine Erfahrung nun in die Sportliche Leitung bei BORA – hansgrohe ein.&nbsp;&nbsp;„Ich freue mich sehr auf die neue Herausforderung. Ein wenig im Spaß hatte ich letztes Jahr schon mit Rolf Aldag über eine Karriere als Sportlicher Leiter gesprochen. Irgendwann in den letzten Wochen wurde daraus nun ernst. Ich hatte zu Rolf immer schon ein sehr gutes Verhältnis und habe vor seiner Kompetenz großen Respekt. Daher war für mich klar, dass ich die Chance ergreife, wenn ich mit ihm zusammenarbeiten kann. Auch die Gespräche mit Ralph Denk haben mir Vertrauen gegeben, dass BORA – hansgrohe das richtige Team für dieses neue Kapitel für mich ist. Ich möchte den Jungs helfen, Fehler, die ich gemacht habe, zu vermeiden. Gerade bei den Klassikern habe ich sicherlich viel Erfahrung sammeln können und die möchte ich an die Fahrer weitergeben. The last stage of the Tour of Norway took the peloton today around Stavanger. A finishing lap including a steep kicker had to be ridden twice and fireworks have been expected there. An early break was caught on the first of the local laps and even some riders attacked on the last climb a bunch contested for the sprint in the end. BORA – hansgrohe positioned Jordi Meeus with the help of J. Koch and M. Haller. Jordi lost a few meters in the last corner and came a little late on the home straight to take 3rd, while A. Kristoff took the win. Ben Zwiehoff finished the race 12th in the general classification.&nbsp;&nbsp;Results01 A. Kristoff 3:19:1702 T. Andresen +0:0003 J. Meeus +0:00&nbsp;From the finish line“It was a tricky final because there have been a lot of corners on the last two kilometers. I was on the wheel of Kristoff but was pushed off line in the last corner and lost positions and speed there. As a result, I came a little late on the home straight. The boys did a great job to bring Jordi in a good position before the last climb. He was strong and was able to follow the first group, and also in the lead-out Marco did a good job. Die letzte Etappe der Tour of Norway führte heute rund um Stavanger. Auf einer rund 15 km langen Zielrunde, die zwei Mal zu befahren war, musste auch ein kurzer, aber steiler Anstieg genommen werden. Eine frühe Fluchtgruppe wurde rechtzeitig auf der ersten Zielrunde vom Feld gestellt und obwohl es am letzten Anstieg noch einige Attacken gab, kam es am Ende zum Sprint eines ersten Feldes. BORA – hansgrohe positionierte mit M. Haller und J. Koch Jordi Meeus in der Sprintvorbereitung. Jordi wurde in der letzten Kurve etwas abgedrängt, kam auf der Zielgeraden zu spät mit seinem Sprint und erreichte am Ende Rang drei beim Sieg von A. Kristoff. Erneut Rang drei für Jordi Meeus zum Abschluss der Tour of Norway

After the decision in the general classification was made in yesterday's time trial, it was off to Rome today after a 750 km transfer. Although the 21st stage was somewhat of an exhibition for most of the riders, a prestigious victory was still at stake for the sprinters. The route first led to the Mediterranean Sea and on the same way back to the city centre of the Italian capital, where the sprinters then fought for the stage victory on a circuit that was to be taken on several times. A small breakaway formed and Cesare Benedetti managed to join but was caught in the end. After 135 kilometres, M. Cavendish was the first to cross the finish line near the Roman Forum.&nbsp;Although the team from Raubling lost two riders early on due to illness and other riders of the team were partly not 100% fit due to colds, BORA - hansgrohe always remained fully committed during the last three race weeks. With two stage wins from Nico Denz and 9th place overall with Lennard Kämna, the team from Raubling can look back on this year's Tour of Italy with great satisfaction.&nbsp;Stage results: 01 M. His preparation paid off and we are very happy about his success. Lennie, had the responsibility of a GC leader for the first time in his career and this was a new experience for him. Lennie is a creative rider who always tries to create breakaways, as he did successfully in the Giro last year. But when you take on the role of GC-leader, you have other responsibilities. Lennie was able to gain valuable experience during the three weeks, which will benefit him in the future. Nachdem die Entscheidung in der Gesamtwertung beim gestrigen Zeitfahren gefallen war, ging es heute nach einem 750 km langen Transfer nach Rom auf die 21. und damit letzte Etappe. Für die Sprinter stand damit eine letzte und prestigeträchtige Chance auf dem Programm. Die Strecke führte zuerst ans Mittelmeer und auf gleichem Wege wieder zurück ins Stadtzentrum der italienischen Hauptstadt, wo auf einem mehrfach zu befahrenden Rundkurs die Sprinter um den Etappensieg kämpften. 70 km vor dem Ziel formierte sich eine Spitzengruppe, in der auch Cesare Benedetti vertreten war. Etwa 12 km vor dem Ziel wurde die Gruppe aber wieder gestellt. Nach 135 gefahrenen Kilometern rollte&nbsp;M. Cavendish&nbsp;als Erster über die Ziellinie in der Nähe des Forum Romanum.&nbsp;Obwohl das Team aus Raubling schon früh zwei Fahrer durch Krankheit verlor und andere Fahrer der Equipe durch Erkältungen teilweise nicht 100 % fit waren, kann BORA - hansgrohe nach drei harten Rennwochen positiv resümieren. Mit zwei Etappensiegen von Nico Denz und dem 9. Platz in der Gesamtwertung sehr zufrieden sein kann. Es ist nicht unbedingt einfach, drei Wochen lang Tag für Tag bei einer Grand Tour konzentriert zu bleiben. Ich glaube, dass meine Leistung die harte Arbeit und Vorbereitung, die jeder im Team in dieses Ziel gesteckt hat, widerspiegelt. Ich möchte mich herzlich bei meinen Teamkollegen für ihre Unterstützung in den letzten Wochen bedanken. Auch wenn wir zwei Fahrer schon früh durch Krankheit verloren haben und einige von uns während des Rennens nicht immer 100 % fit waren, war die Moral im Team immer gut und die Jungs haben mich trotz allem gut unterstützt. The second stage at the Tour of Norway was on paper another chance for the sprinters even the last kilometer was quite some uphill strecht. After a breakaway of 8 riders formed at the front, the peloton controlled the gap between two to three minutes. When a duo was still fighting at the front for glory, the bunch was speeding up on the last 20km and with 2km to go the race was back together. Also BORA – hansgrohe was moving up with Jordi Meeus, but the final kilometer proved to be too hard for the pure sprinters. In the end T. The last kilometers have been quite hard then and the road was also twisty and narrow. Unfortunately, Ide lost the wheel of Jonas and was too far back. Auf dem Papier war die zweite Etappe der Tour of Norway die letzte Chance für die Sprinter im Feld, auch wenn der letzte Kilometer heute bergan ins Ziel führte. Eine 8-Mann-Spitzengruppe prägte das Rennen die meiste Zeit des Tages, aber das Feld kontrollierte den Abstand bei maximal drei Minuten. Die letzten beiden verbliebenen Ausreißer wurde etwa zwei Kilometer vor dem Ziel gestellt und BORA – hansgrohe zeigte sich nun ebenfalls an der Spitze des Feldes mit Jordi Meeus. Dennoch wollten wir als Team am Ende alles versuchen und vorne mit dabei sein. Mit Ide und Ben wollten wir versuchen eine Rolle zu spielen. Etwa 20 km vor dem Ziel hatten wir eine kleine Schrecksekunde, als Ben in einen Sturz verwickelt war. Aber er konnte das Rennen zum Glück schnell wieder aufnehmen. Die letzten Kilometer gingen dann ziemlich bergauf und die Straße war zudem sehr eng und verwinkelt. Ide hat leider etwas das Hinterrad von Jonas verloren und aufgrund des Tempos konnte er nicht mehr rechtzeitig Positionen gutmachen. Jordi war knapp dran und hat seine gute Form bewiesen. Rang 10 für Jordi Meeus bei hartem Sprintfinale bei der Tour of Norway

10th place for Jordi Meeus on tough uphill sprint finish at Tour of Norway

Today's challenging 18.6 km mountain time trial from Tarvisio up to Monte Lussari decided the general classification in this year's Giro d'Italia. The stage first led for eleven kilometres on slightly undulating terrain, before a brutal 7.3 km long and at times 22 percent steep final ramp up to Monte Lussari had to be taken on. T. Guernalec set the first real benchmark time of 48:35 minutes. German time trial champion Lennard Kämna, who was in 8th place overall before the stage, was convincing with a solid race. He was in 6th place at the first intermediate time check, but slowed slightly his pace until the finish and finished in 14th place in the end with a time of 46:41 minutes. This puts him in 9th place overall ahead of tomorrow's final stage. With a time of 44:23 minutes P. We only slipped one place in the general classification and I think that, all in all, he performed well today. Das superschwere 18,6 km lange Bergzeitfahren von Tarvisio hinauf auf den Monte Lussari brachte die Entscheidung um die Gesamtwertung beim diesjährigen Giro d’Italia. Die Etappe führte zunächst elf Kilometer lang auf leicht welligem Terrain, bevor ein 7,3 km langer und bis zu 22 Prozent steiler Schlussanstieg auf die Fahrer wartete. Finally the Giro 2023 and our challenge to defend the title has started. Lennard Kämna and Aleksandr Vlasov had a solid start into the race, even the last part of their preparations hasn't been ideal.
