BORA - hansgrohe signs the talented Giovanni Aleotti, and extends with Matteo Fabbro

Following his solid performance this season, Matteo Fabbro’s contract has been extended for another year, while the top talent Giovanni Aleotti has signed a three-year contract with BORA – hansgrohe.

"Matteo has developed well this year and deserves this chance. He has become a strong pillar of support in the mountains and we are looking forward to continuing to work with him. Giovanni is certainly a very talented rider, who through his third place in the Tour de l’Avenir and fourth in the Baby Giro, showed me that he can become a very good stage racer. Our testing has also confirmed this. In addition, he is also quite an animated rider, so there is definitely some potential to develop. We'll see in which direction this will take us.” - Dan Lorang, Head of Innovation

“Following my initial two years in the professional ranks, BORA - hansgrohe has always been at the top of my wish list. Although we have all experienced quite a strange year, after one season, I can say that all my hopes have been fulfilled here. I am in a very professional environment and can continue to pursue my goals within this team in an optimal manner. I would like to thank the entire team for the wonderful atmosphere and also Ralph Denk for his trust in me.” - Matteo Fabbro

"I have followed how BORA - hansgrohe has developed young riders over the past few years. With a lot of steadiness and experience. So, I already held this team in such high regard, an opinion that has been further consolidated throughout the scouting process. I can’t wait to start my journey with BORA - hansgrohe. I would also like to thank Cycling Team Friuli, especially President Roberto Bressan, and all the coaches. They discovered me as a rider and prepared me to take this next step.” - Giovanni Aleotti
