Kryštof Král (Czech Republic) wins a stage at the Course de la Paix Juniors. Anatol Friedl (Austria) secures a podium finish at the UCI XCO Junior Mountainbike Series.

Team GRENKE - Auto Eder's riders have enjoyed a fruitful few weeks. After the U19 squad of the WorldTeam BORA - hansgrohe achieved several prestigious international victories and podium finishes in April, the riders have kept up their streak recently. Both at the Course de la Paix Juniors stage race and the U19 Mountain Bike World Cup in Germany, they secured top finishes in the past few days. Notably, these races were contested by the riders while representing their national teams.

Like in other sports, junior cycling athletes frequently compete with their national teams. Last week, five GRENKE - Auto Eder riders participated in the Course de la Paix Juniors race. Their successful outcome: Kryštof Král (Czech Republic) earned a stage victory, and Paul Fietzke (Germany) finished seventh in the overall classification of the highly competitive stage race.

The weekend before, it was Anatol Friedl (Austria) who made waves. He finished second at the UCI XCO Junior Mountainbike Series in Heubach, Baden-Württemberg, demonstrating his impressive talent. The next event for the team riders, wearing the GRENKE - Auto Eder kit, will take place on May 19th at the Junior Tour of Flanders.

“Following some early-season setbacks, I'm thrilled to be back and winning races. The Course de la Paix route was ideal for me, so I'm really pleased I was able to win the final stage.” – Kryštof Král

“At GRENKE - Auto Eder, our athletes receive a comprehensive cycling education to best equip them for a possible pro career. We ensure that regular appearances with their respective national teams and participation in other cycling disciplines are part of our plan. When our riders succeed in these external events – like Kryštof and Anatol did recently – it naturally makes us happy because it shows we’ve prepared them properly.” – Dr. Christian Schrot, Sports Director, GRENKE - Auto Eder
